2011 SPRINGBOARD ROADSHOW LAUNCHED (DAILY GRAPHIC)

The 2011 edition of the Spingboard Africa Road Show has been launchecd in Accra under the theme "The Turning Point".
The 2011 Roadshow which is organised by Legacy and Legacy, a human capital development firm, in association with corporate Ghana would fulfill a long-held continental dream of the event promoters since for the first time the tour would visit Gambia and Nigeria after the grand finale in Ghana.
The 2011 Road Show would be the 5th in the series since its inception in 2007.The event is scheduled to take place from January 8, 2011 to February 5, 2011 in Ghana, February 12, 2011 and February 17, 2011 in Banjul, Gambia and Lagos, Nigeria respectively.
The continental outlook of the 2011 Road Show would be captured in the new slogan "One message! One Continent! One Amazing Experience!".
The 2011 event would have 25 motivational speakers on board, with each speaker having the opportunity to share about their own moments of adversity, provocation, inspiration or opportunity that changed the course of their entire lives or careers and set them on the road to success.
The Chief Executive Officer of Legacy and Legacy, Mrs Comfort Ocran said the focus of Spingboard 2011 would be on leadership and career empowerment at the regional and community levels and is expected to reach millions through live radio and television interviews and rebroadcasts throughout the country.
She said the programme would therefore include a number of community-based interventions, counselling, and support for participants in relatively deprived communities to partake in the knowledge sharing experience.
The Chief Executive Officer of Stratcom Africa, Ms Esther Cobbah expressed the hope that participants would not get stuck inthe excitement of the knowledge gained but would use it as the starting point of new endeavours.
She said there was the need to reach out to people and challenge them to make their impact starting from their surroundings and communities, adding that "if we are serious about decentralisation and balanced national development then the model of the roadshow is exactly how we must be mobilising for national development".
Speakers for the 2011 Roadshow would include Dr Joyce Aryee, Esther Cobbah, Ken Ofori-Atta, Anna Bossman, Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Clement Asante, Ace Ankomah, KSM, Daniel Asiedu, yonney Kulendi, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah and Martin Brobbey.
Others include Dr Ama Edwin, Rev Daniel O. Tetteh, Dr Esi Ansah, Edith Uyobukerhi, Catherine Krobo Edusei, C. C. Bruce, Seth Quaye, Darrydean Dadzie, Princess Umul Hatiyya, Amina Oyagbola, Pastor Francis Forbes, Comfort Ocran and Albert Ocran.
