MON-TRAN EXPANDS SERVICES

The Chief Executive Officer of Mon-Tran Ltd., Mr Tony Minkah has said the company would increase its product range by providing an end-to-end Automated Teller Machines (ATM) service to its partner banks by the close of this year.
He said in that regard, the company would have a fully compliant vault that would enable them restock ATMs of their partner banks without having access to their safes.
Mr Minkah made this known at the commissioning of their new head office that would enable the company expand its business programmes to deliver improved results.
He said the company also had plans to establish itself in other countries in the sub-region by the year 2015.
He said the company also has plans to expand its brand to Liberia, Togo, Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Sierra Leonne, Zimbabwe, Kenya and South Africa.
Mr Minkah also disclosed that the company was partnering with some key world-class brands in order to position itself to contribute to national development especially in the advent of the oil find production.
He said since the company made use of the police to provide escort for their operations, the company would partner with the police service by way of providing them with logistics for their operations that would help improve their efficiency.
He commended the staff for their dedication, loyalty and hard work that had made it possible for the company to attain higher heights, adding that, "I will want to assure our corporate business partners that we will continue to be the pace setters in our chosen field".
The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Mr Kusi Bekoe Arthur-Amissah, commended the board and staff of Mon-Tran Ltd for their dedication to propel the company to become the biggest support service provider in the country.
He said the services provided by the company had been very useful to especially the banking industry and had provided an opportunity for them to fast track their operations.
Mr Arthur-Amissah therefore called on emerging companies to be encouraged by the success story of Mon-Tran ltd.
Mon-Tran Ltd is a business support services provider which started as a small business operating from a rented premises at Nyaniba, Osu with a limited personnel and resources in April 2002.
The basic aim of the company was to provide cash-in-transit services to banks in the country.
By the year 2003, Mon-Tran had established itself in three other cities; Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale, and was operating as mobile offices and by the end of 2004, the company had included two more products; human capital recruitment and placement, and payroll management to its main product.
After seven years of operation, Mon-Tran ltd can boast of a staff strength of 3500 across the ten regional capitals, plus two district capitals in the country, providing services to banks and twenty non-banking institutions in the country.
